Ebino Plateau Camp Village at 1200m is pleasantly cool even in summer. In addition to family camping, it is a great hub for hiking Mt. Karakuni and other trails. In addition to the Kirishima foothills, there are plenty of campgrounds in surrounding districts too.

TREKKING
Experience an active volcano
The Kirishima mountains have a plethora of climbing trails for the enjoyment of everyone from beginners to veterans, starting with Mt. Karakuni and Mt. Takachihonomine. In addition to the stunning volcanic features such as crater lakes, visitors can enjoy seasonal mountain delights from the Kyushu azalea to autumn foliage, and the rime ice of deep winter. Soak up the geothermal benefits
Hot springs are certainly a great benefit of volcanic activity. At the foot of the Kirishima area are a number of highly original onsen. Refresh body and soul with a relaxing dip.
